Proposal Writer and Coordinator
We are searching for a Proposal Writer and Coordinator (Capture Manager) for our continuously growing organization. This position is based in our Fayetteville, NC Office.
Proposal Writer and Coordinator Job Description:
The Proposal Writer and Coordinator supports PGS’s business development activities in several capacities, including writing and coordination for proposal efforts, monitoring potential business development (RFP) opportunities, and maintaining PGS’s business development materials.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate proposal activity and proposal task sequencing with consulting and contracts staff.
- Coordinate proposal content acquisition from internal resources.
- Develop effective methods for presenting and organizing information within proposals, such as the use of tables and graphics.
- Edit proposal materials to eliminate inconsistencies in format or voice, typos, and grammatical and spelling mistakes.
- Adapt existing resumes and other qualification materials to respond to individual proposal needs.
- Research, write, and update information in the business development repository, including project descriptions, resumes, and other qualifications materials.
- Monitor websites for RFP opportunities of potential interest to PGS, and distribute opportunities to appropriate staff.
- Assist with other corporate writing and communications as needed.
Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree.
- Relevant work experience as a proposal or a grant writer/coordinator.
- Knowledge of DOD acquisition and FAR policy.
- Excellent writing skills and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining quality control.
- High degree of skill in MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, and Excel.
