Communication Theory:
PGS teaches various theory courses meant to take a complete novice and guide them towards an understanding how modern digital networks function by explaining their individual components and network interactions in an operator accessible way. The courses vary in length depending upon the number of students and location of the course, although most can be taught in approximately four days.
Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) – the most common form of cellular technology in the world today which accounts for approximately 80% with over 1,000 networks worldwide.
Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) – the most common method of cellular technology in the United States with over 310 network providers in 118 countries.
Satellite Communications – oldest world phone platform which allows access to telephony systems using geosynchronous satellites from almost anywhere in the world, providers include Thuraya, Iridium and Inmarsat.
